The Rhythm™ hormone test is a comprehensive assessment of estradiol, progesterone, and testosterone, with 11 saliva samples in 28 days that reveals the relationship and balance of these essential hormones across the month. Hormonal balance is the key to fertility and this test profile can help illuminate the root cause of disorders such as premenstrual syndrome (PMS), infertility, and menstrual irregularities. Fluctuating levels of estradiol, progesterone, and testosterone affect:
- Menstrual cycle
- Mood swings
- Sleep patterns
- Appetite level
- Sex drive
And chronic hormonal imbalances are involved in:
- Polycystic Ovary Disease
With salivary samples only the free (unbound) bioavailable fraction of hormone are tested (unlike serum measurements that typically reflect both bound and unbound hormones) and avoids either obesity or thyroid function influencing test results with false high or low levels.
The Rhythm Plus™ hormone test is an extension of the Rhythm™ test that also measures the influence of stress (via cortisol levels) and sleep (via melatonin) on estradiol and progesterone across the cycle. Hormonal balance is the key to fertility and this test profile can help illuminate the root cause of disorders such as premenstrual syndrome (PMS), infertility, and menstrual irregularities. Stress and insomnia can profoundly affect hormone balance, and this test will reveal if that’s part of a woman’s fertility picture, as well as providing DHEA and testosterone levels.
Male Hormones Plus™ tests testosterone levels and includes the Adreno-cortex Stress Profile and the Comprehensive Melatonin Profile to reveal how testosterone is influenced by cortisol (stress), DHEA (De-hydro-Epi-Androsterone, a hormone that’s produced in the adrenals, brain and testes) and melatonin which is the hormone involved in sleep patterns, blood pressure regulation, and is also an important anti-oxidant for DNA protection.
Adrenal Stress Profile is a saliva test that detects imbalances in the daily circadian secretions of the stress hormones cortisol and DHEA. Imbalances in these hormones can indicate inappropriate adrenal responses that can negatively impact energy levels, emotions, and other health complaints, including anxiety, chronic inflammatory conditions, allergies, chronic fatigue syndrome, insomnia, depression, migraines, headaches, recurrent infections, menstrual difficulties and infertility.
Urine Thyroid Hormones (T3/T4) + Iodine is a cost effective way to combine the urine thyroid hormone test (T3 &T4 only) with levels of iodine which is vital for optimal thyroid health, and iodine deficiencies are often part of the hypothyroidism picture.
Adrenal – Thyroid Profile incorporates testing for raised adrenal hormones which usually comes with a history of psychological or physiological stress, however adrenal levels are also vital for people with hypothyroidism, because of the close interaction of these hormone systems. This test includes cortisol and DHEA levels in the saliva and urinary T3 to give sensitive and accurate measurements of the active thyroid hormone alongside adrenal hormones to give a clear on how they are affecting health and fertility.
Oxidative Stress 2.0, Urine uses a urine sample to help people understand the role of oxidative stress in their life. The urine sample measures free radical damage, including lipid peroxides (oxidative damage to cell membranes) and 8-hydroxy-deoxyGuanosine (oxidative damage to DNA) which can help to identify causes and perpetuating factors and to customize specific treatment programs when needed.
ONE FMV™ nutritional test helps give an understanding of diet and supplementation needs, and offers a personalized functional nutrition assessment covering Antioxidants, B Vitamins, Digestive Support, and Minerals with an easy first-morning urine collection (called a first morning void) to provide nutritional recommendations based on a patient’s individual nutritional test results that synthesizes the results of nearly 80 individual biomarkers across four key areas into one, easy-to-interpret overview, with a personalized patient supplementation schedule that covers:
- Metabolic Analysis Profile provides information on 45 key organic acids that provide insight for supporting mal-absorption & dysbiosis; cellular energy & mitochondrial metabolism; neurotransmitter metabolism; vitamin deficiencies; and toxin exposure & detoxification need.
- Amino Acids Analysis: of 41 amino acids and assesses nutritionally essential and non-essential amino acids, as well as intermediary metabolites that help an understanding of B vitamin need, and need for support of protein digestion & absorption.
- Oxidative Stress biomarkers that highlight the body’s current state of oxidative stress and reserve capacity.
The GI Effects® Comprehensive Stool Profile is an advanced stool test that provides immediate, actionable clinical information for the management of gut health, which is so important for general health (see ‘tired’ type). This test uses the most innovative technologies available and provides clear information on Digestion and Absorption, Inflammation and Immunology, the Gut Microbiome, and the presence of beneficial and pathogenic organisms and is widely considered to be market leader in this field.
