Treating male fertility has a wide range of options that include:
- Drug treatments
- ICSI (intra-cytoplasmic sperm injection)
- Lifestyle changes
- Herbal treatments
It’s easiest to know which treatment to have when there’s a clear reason for a man’s low fertility, and these cases usually involve surgery, drugs or IVF techniques. However, when no one knows why a man’s fertility is low it becomes more appropriate to take a different, more holistic view, and this enters more the realm of male fertility tonics. Fertility tonics have been used in a variety of forms around the world for centuries to improve male fertility and there are many ways to naturally and significantly raise a man’s fertility and the good news for men is the results are usually seen after about three months.
Western research into advanced assisted reproductive techniques is giving us excellent information on how to improve male fertility and actually reduce the need for (or improve the results of) treatments like ICSI. These have explained why apparently ‘normal’ sperm can be unable to fertilize eggs or create viable pregnancies, and developed tests for them, plus there are ways to naturally boost male fertility and we now have a much better understanding of the factors that reduce fertility, so can avoid them more easily.
- A varicocoele affects many men and surgery for this (a varicocelectomy) significantly improves sperm count, motility and fertility, with the inguinal
